Curating Curios

Earlier this month I mentioned that the redecoration of the guest bedroom will include a wall of curios, so I’ve been scouring for a few bits to include. As usual, here’s a few inspirational images to feast your eyes on. Collections of curiosImage credits:: Top left – Andrew Wood (cover of Creative Walls – a fabulous book I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas) | Top right – Wooden Dolls via Dwellings and Decor | Bottom – Hubsch Danish Interiors.

As I mentioned in the moodboard post, a friend of ours has made a clock from an old pressure gauge that will take centre stage. Surrounding it will be a group of bits and pieces that I’ve been collecting over the years that as yet don’t really have a home. Curio Walls treasuresTop left – Glass and Zinc frame (possibly going in the bathroom) found out shopping in Hove | Top right – Vintage compass from a Notting Hill Antique Shop | Bottom left – Oversized paperclip from same Hove shop (thinking of slotting in some of our Paris photobooth photos in here) | Bottom right- Vintage slate from the legendary Snoopers Paradise in Brighton

I’m also hoping to include vintage postcards, some old fashioned cash till price flags and a lifelike butterfly from our wedding cake. I’ve also got my eye on some more treasures but need to wait till payday to splash out on the Anthro Hook!Extras Curios Wall1. Rabbit Hook – £18 Anthropologie | 2. Jar – £4.99 H&M | 3. Candle – £3.99 H&M | 4. Antlers via Etsy

I’m now on the hunt for some small wooden box frames. Please let me know if you see any on your travels!

Have a great weekend and stay safe in the snow.
