Found: Holly’s House

Recently I found myself amongst the Sloane Rangers of Chelsea, spending a Saturday morning perusing the gorgeous wares at Holly’s House.

Founded by Interior Designer, Holly Wick, this beautiful shop sells and eclectic mix of homewares and furniture. Alongide modern pieces, you can find vintage one-offs and so it’s a perfect spot to find a Christmas pressie. Here’s a few of the pieces that caught my eye from Holly’s collection of ‘new pieces.’Holly's House_New

ABC Mugs – £30 | Le Mond Print – £32 | Crystal Bulbs – £189 | Copper Jar – £6.50 | Rusted Antlers – £129

I am seriously in love with the Le Mond print; the black and copper combination would make a strong statement, although I’m not sure I’d agree that the world is too small for me!

On to the vintage selection, the cinema style chairs would look fabulous in the right setting.

Found: RE-Found Objects

Hidden down behind a Petrol Station(!) in the stunning Market Town of Corbridge, RE-Found Objects is a must for any treaure trover. Re-Found 2 Hanging Porcelain Decorations £5 | Vintage Antlers – From £26 | Clipboard – £2 | Pressed Glasses – £7

The electic mix of rare, remarkable, recycled and restored is laid out beautifully in an airy workshop featuring a large range of home accessories. Re-Found 1 Eiffel Tower – £6.50 | Stripy String – £2 | Rusty Metal Candle Wings – £5 | Waste Not Table Runner – £17

The pricing can be a little curious; some things seem a little overpriced and others a downright bargain, for example the Kraft Clipboard that I use to keep paint samples together was a third of the price I’ve seen elsewhere.

Luckily for the London folk, there’s a pop-up shop in Liberty where you can choose from a specially curated selection of products. For those who are no-where near the capital or the north-east of England, there’s an online shop too.

Have a little look and let me know what products you’ll be adding to your basket.

Found: Pearl and Earl

Whilst on the hunt for gold straws (for a seriously special affair happening later this summer) I came across Pearl and Earl. Run by award winning designer Jacqui Pearce, Pearl and Earl is all about ‘colourful living and happy times’.pearlandearl_partydecorations Metallic Chevron Paper Straws – £4 | Tassle Garland £35 | XL Drape Curtain Fringing £12 | Mini Paper Ball x5 £12

The site has a fabulous range of straws, balloons, pom-poms, garlands and streamers. I am in love with the Drape Curtain Fringing that can be hung from super sized balloons or to create an amazing backdrop for a Dessert Bar.

As well as having everything you need to throw yourself a snazzy little party, there’s also a selection of artwork and really reasonable prices. pearl and earl prints ‘Married Life’ Poem Art Print £18 | Gold Graphic Lip Art Print £10

If you’re planning a celebration this summer, I suggest you hot foot over to Pearl and Earl and fill your basket full of all things glitzy! x

Found: Petersham Nurseries

If you find yourself in Surrey this Summer, then take an hour or two to relax at Petersham Nurseries.
It would be easy to miss the entrance to the chicest garden centre in Richmond, so keep your eyes peeled for the turning down a narrow road off Petersham Road.petersham_entry

Behind the brick walls are a series of potting sheds. Once inside you’re greeted with rustic elegance with a boho edge; herbs crammed into wooden crates, galvanised chandeliers, distressed bistro chairs and weathered terracotta pots flanked by antique aged shutters and other beautiful vintage finds. inside_petersham

There’s a wide range of plants available and a huge selection of herbs. Its by no mean cheap but it would be very easy to get swept away!petersham_plants

We stopped by the Teahouse to indulge in one of the homemade cakes (around £4.50 per slice). Thanks to the sunny spring weather we were able to enjoy outside amongst the last of the tulips perched on rickety, mismatched chairs. Tearoom_petersham

Glancing through to The Petersham Nurseries Cafe, the sophisticated yet quirky bohemian theme continues with huge palm trees, coloured glass and masses of potted plants. The menu looks fab too offering simple, locally sourced food topped with edible flowers. inside__petersham

A little gem that’s definitely worth exploring.

Etsy Pick: The Carbon Crusader

In my younger years, one of the highlights of the summer holidays was the annual trip to the stationery shop (yes, fun was hard to come by back then) Armed with just £1 pocket money, I would pour over the endless pencils, rulers and paper to make sure I got as many items as I could. One time my sister splashed out her full quota on ONE fountain pen. I was utterly horrified. pencilAnd so all this chat about stationery brings me nicely on to another Etsy Pick. The Carbon Crusader has a really fabulous range of pencils with a smashing selection of quotes, my favourite being ‘I carried a Watermelon’

For just £2.65 for the three you can afford to get a few sets to grace your desk such as these pretty cursive ‘Hello Darling’ versions. Why not treat a friend to the hot pink ‘You’re like, really pretty’ or count down to the weekend with the Days of the Week set.

They also create custom designs for you to order. Bearing in mind the spam filter, what would you like to see custom printed on your pencil?!
