Quite some time ago (we’re talking years ago), the cover of Elle Decoration was graced with the bold yet beautiful home of Matthew Williamson.I remember thinking at the time that it was utterly glorious, but being drawn to a colour palette of a ‘fairly light’ variety there was no way I was ever going to be so zingy in my own home. Fast forward five years and neon is making a huge mark on the high street and recently I found myself purchasing a few things of the hot pink variety for my own lounge.
Whilst I don’t think I’ll ever be so daring as to get out the illuminous paintbrush, there are a few cheeky picks if you fancy a nestle with the neon:
1. Neon Baroque Mug £29 – I love Retro | 2. Love is all you need Letterpress print – £16.50 – Print for love of wood | 3. Lime Water Bottle – £5.95 – Oliver Bonas | 4. Love Story Neon Pink Cushion (currently on my sofa!) £7.99 – H&M | 5. Orange Gel Dining Chair – £99 – John Lewis | 6. Butterfly by Matthew Williamson Melamine lime green parrot patterned tray – £7.12 – Debenhams | 7. Eiffel Neon Edged Runner – La Cerise sur le Gateau (ships to UK) | 8. Neon Pink Lace Tea Towel – £16 – Rockett St George
How about you? Any neon going on in your own home? x
Yes definitely some neon brights in our home! 🙂 I only picked a few accents in a bright orange/hot pink colour, but I love this trend too. And I adore “La Cerise sur la Gateau”… I first got to know this brand on holiday in France, it’s got some really cool pillows too!
Agree – I would love one of their pillows! X
